Marcus founded AAG in 1997 and continues to have strategic oversight of all assets under management, as well as core governance and fiduciary role to all investors and shareholders. He has worked through several industry cycles and maintains a detailed knowledge of the areas of commodity activity where AAGIM is engaged. He has a track record in starting and growing agribusinesses, buying, transforming to profit and selling quality agricultural assets and building engaged teams of asset and farm Managers. He is committed to sustainable and profitable farming and the sound application of ESG at a farm level. Marcus has a BA in economics and politics from the UNSW, and is a graduate of the Royal Military College, Duntroon. He served for several years in the 3rd Battalion (Para) of the Royal Australian Regiment. He is PS146 qualified, and a long-term member of the Ag Institute Australia (Certified Practicing Agriculturalist – CPAg). He is actively involved in a hands-on role at his sheep farm in Highlands, Victoria.

Iain joined AAGIM in 2018 he has primary responsibility for the transformation of 26,000ha of fire damaged forestry to farmland for Kiland Ltd (ASX:KIL). Iain also manages the development of one of the largest bio mass to bio char projects in the world as part of this transformation. As Investments Director, Iain is responsible for project development, operational due diligence and client relations. Iain has extensive experience in corporate agribusiness, having previously worked at Stafford Capital Partners (London) and with CBRE Agribusiness in Australia. Iain holds a MSc in Management from Cass Business School, London, and a BSc (Hons.) in Science from the University of Melbourne. Iain is involved in his family’s sheep farming business at Highland’s Victoria and is a qualified wildfire firefighter.

Nick joined AAGIM in 2017 and his primary responsibility for the management of several large-scale cropping and grazing enterprises in Victoria and New South Wales. The asset management role involves oversight and planning of enterprises along with the management of capital development, financial management and staff. Nick previously worked as an independent farm consultant for Dodgshun Medlin, specialising in farm agronomy and strategic farm planning for dryland and irrigation family and corporate farms across the Victorian and South Australian Mallee and Riverina. Nick graduated from Marcus Oldham College in 2013 with a Bachelor of Agriculture, Farm Management. Nick remains actively involved in his family cropping and sheep farm in the Victorian Mallee.

Thomas completed the AAGIM Graduate Program in 2022 where he worked across the AAGIM business commencing in Western Australia spent on a broadacre cropping and livestock operation and the Northern Territory on a mango orchard before joining the management team as an Analyst where he is responsible for planning, operations, equipment and business management with a particular focus on the Kangaroo Island operations. Thomas graduated from Marcus Oldham University with a Bachelor of Business (Agriculture). Thomas has operational experience from his time on his families apple, cherry and blueberry orchard in Tasmania.

Zac joined AAGIM in a part time capacity in 2022. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Monash University and completed a Masters in Applied Finance in 2025. Zac has particular skills in financial modelling and data presentation, the detailed planning and execution of transformational projects and in the management and preservation of water resources.

Henry joined the AAGIM Graduate Program in 2024 which included an extended period on Kangaroo Island helping with the expansion of the harvesting and agricultural transformation process, followed by a period in Kunanurra supervising a sandalwood harvesting and sale opportunity. Henry has a Bachelor of Agricultural Science (Ag Economics) and a Masters in Agricultural Science (Agribusiness), both from the University of Melbourne.

Darcy joined the AAGIM Graduate Program in 2024, which included three, four month long hands-on stints on a large scale prime lamb business, a mango plantation in the Northern Territory and on a group of three dairy farms in northern Victoria. Darcy has a Bachelor of Agriculture from Melbourne University and works on a range of analysis projects supporting Asset managers

David joined the AAGIM Board whilst a Partner at Altima Partners, then the largest farmland managers in the world. His first large scale project in Australia was the transformation of a portfolio of failed timber assets. He has international agriculture experience in North and South America, eastern Europe and Africa and brings a strong governance and risk management perspective to the Board.

Sally worked as an Asset Manager at AAGIM for over 10 years before taking on the responsibility of Directorship. She has a lifetime of real-world experience of agriculture at both a family farm and corporate farm level. Sally has particular expertise in identifying latent value in farmland acquisitions.

Geraldine is a medical specialist with a lifetime of exposure to animal agriculture. Importantly she has a deep understanding of interpersonal relations and complex negotiations, which provides perspective and prudence in acquisitions and management. Dr. Edgely has recently completed nine years on the Board of the ANZVS, including four as President.
